I want to play netball until I’m grey and old and my body won't physically let me, but my 35-year-old body is already putting up a fight. Many of my teammates have had to quit altogether due to ankle injuries, and these issues don’t stop there, they often lead to knee, hip, and back problems that last a lifetime.

Having played netball for most of my life, I know too well how rolling an ankle is often seen as a rite of passage. I’ve relied on ankle braces to keep me on the court, but they’re cumbersome, uncomfortable, and expensive and they don’t integrate well with your shoes.

Determined to find a better solution, I set out to create a netball shoe that provides real ankle protection, not just for those with existing injuries, but to prevent them in the first place. That’s why I started Elandr.
